1. There have been many things that have changed in my point of view throughout this semester. Seeing the different interpretations that other people had for topics I maybe didn't know about was really interesting to see. I learned a lot of problem solving in the first unit. Before that unit I had never done much shading or used colored pencils in a project but when doing the project I decided to try it out. For that project I drew a picture that I had taken over the summer of me and my best friend wearing matching shirts and having done our hair in the same way.
2. I noticed that I expanded the way I made projects from only really doing realistic looking art to drawing in pen and making cartoon looking pictures or making things on the fantasy side. At the beginning of the year I drew a bird and as the year progressed, I drew another bird but it was different because its body and wings were covered in music notes conveying a "songbird". |
3. My favorite unit was the unit when I did the "Stop Human Trafficking" drawing. Human Trafficking is another problem I am passionate about revealing to others. Many think slavery ended long ago but the truth is there are more slaves now then there were during the Abraham Lincoln times. In this drawing, I included a stop light, a city, and a girl in a torn dress looking out onto the city, her shadow spread across the street with the shadow of a man grabbing her.
4. What I liked about this class was the variation of projects and topics that were introduced. I think we were all pushed in directions we hadn't been before and I know I personally improved my art work through this semester in Art 2. I like the way everything was taught, I don't think I would have changed anything about the style of teaching.
